Learn to Make Empanadas
Learn to make Ecuadorian Empanadas with Fanny and Marco! Proceeds from this hands-on cooking class
will provide assistance to the Reyes family while Marco seeks sanctuary from a deportation order that would
separate him from his family.

While cooking, you will get a chance to interact with Fanny and Marco, gain insight into their experience as
immigrants from Ecuador, and learn how current immigration policies are affecting families like the Reyes’.
After the lesson, sit down to enjoy the food that you helped prepare!  All participants will receive copies of the
recipes used. This class is supported by the International Association of New Haven.
