CitySeed partners with hundreds of volunteers each year to support our Farmers Markets and Sanctuary Kitchen.

CitySeed Farmers Market Volunteers
Seeking applicants who are enthusiastic about sustainable agriculture and food justice in New Haven, and want to learn while working at Farmers Markets. The position includes set up and break down of tables and tents, selling tokens, handling money and credit/debit/SNAP cards and promoting market programs.

Markets shifts can include:
Wooster Square (Saturdays 8:00am-1:45pm)
Edgewood Park (Sundays 9:00am-1:45pm)
Q-House (Wednesdays 2:00pm- 6:30pm).

Sanctuary Kitchen Volunteers
Volunteers work closely with the Sanctuary Kitchen Team and Chefs across our program. Their generosity, enthusiasm, and support help to make all of our events a success!

Responsibilities vary, but may include assisting the Team, Chefs, and guests with event set up and clean up; catering food preparation, selling products at Farmers Markets, providing transportation and more!

Student Volunteers and Internships
CitySeed regularly welcomes students as volunteers and interns across our programs. High School students regularly complete community service hours by supporting our Farmers Markets or volunteering at Sanctuary Kitchen. We partner with Youth at Work, Green Corps, and other service programs or volunteer groups. If you are a student or a teacher interested in partnering with CitySeed on group volunteer opportunities, please email info@cityseed.org to let us know what you’re looking for.
