HELP US GROW
Build a Stronger Community
CitySeed’s activities are making a positive, measurable impact in the lives of local children, families, seniors and farmers. They are made possible with the support of generous individuals like you who value the opportunity to support the critical work that is transforming the way we eat and how community members relate to one another through food. Your donation helps us continue programming that our community, regardless of income, depends on for better access to fresh, local food.
As a result of CitySeed’s activities over the past year:
28 farms gained over $850,00 in farm viability and 26 small businesses (non-farming entities) earned over $275,000.
Over 2,000 people received cooking education & recipe sharing through more than 60 cooking classes and demonstrations that we helped organize throughout the community.
Over $100,000 in WIC & Senior Farmers’ Market coupons, SNAP and specially funded community coupons were redeemed at our markets, adding critically needed healthy, local food for mothers, infants, children, seniors and low-income individuals.
Over $2 million dollars in overall local economic impact was gained in New Haven!
Your donation directly supports a healthy local food system that provides a sustainable livelihood for small family farmers and makes fresh, healthy food accessible to everyone. Join us in cultivating a healthy local food system with a gift to CitySeed today!
