FARMERS MARKETS
We are growing our farmers’ markets to be a vibrant gathering place that is increasingly accessible and welcoming to all New Haven residents, including SNAP (food stamp) customers. This work is essential to keeping family farms thriving in Connecticut.
FOOD ENTREPRENEURSHIP

We are growing new programs that promote farm viability, food security, and food entrepreneurship across the state by elevating rising food entrepreneurs with resources and training to grow their own businesses.
INTERCULTURAL UNDERSTANDING THROUGH FOOD
We work with immigrant and refugee chefs through our Sanctuary Kitchen program to cook and share their cuisine with the community, using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible.
FOOD EDUCATION
We work with neighborhood cooking instructors to offer FREE healthy cooking classes for families, seniors and people at risk for chronic disease.
