CitySeed operates a series of vibrant, year-round Farmers Markets throughout New Haven, CT — Wooster Square, Edgewood Park,  and Dixwell Q House.  Our markets provide a direct connection to more than 50 Connecticut vendors, including farms, nurseries, bakeries, cheese makers, and specialty food producers.  Our markets provide vital economic opportunities for regional farmers, helping to keep our local food system healthy and strong.

What to Expect

CitySeed Farmers’ Markets are producer-only markets, which means all of the produce a farmer sells under their tent was grown on their farm. This also means you will only find seasonal produce that is native to Connecticut.  The produce selection will vary depending on the season. Arrive early for the best variety, as farmers often sell out by the end of the market.

CitySeed staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions and can be found at the CitySeed Information Tent. Here you can purchase Market Coins for use with vendors, bread and market merchandise including t-shirts, aprons and tote bags. We encourage you to bring your reusable bags to shop.

How to Pay

Farmers and vendors accept cash, credit, and debit.  All CitySeed Farmers’ Markets accept WIC FMNP checks, Senior FMNP checks, and SNAP (food stamp) benefits. THIS YEAR: The Dixwell Q-House Market will be doubling all purchases. Get more for less no matter what payment method you use!

Double Value for SNAP!

CitySeed offers double value for SNAP (food stamps) at all of its markets and Mobile Market. Use SNAP on any SNAP-eligible products at the CitySeed Farmers’ Markets. CitySeed will match SNAP dollars spent on additional fruits, vegetables, and seedlings! Come to the CitySeed Information Tent for more information.
