Supporting local farms and food businesses is CitySeed’s mission and priority. As such, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Downtown Farmers Market for this season. Many farms in Connecticut continue to face labor shortages, making it challenging for farmers to staff fields and market stalls and leaving our market without any fresh produce. And what is a farmers market without any farmers?
This is a new challenge. We are already adapting and learning more about what we can do to better support our farmers and vendors this season and in the future. We encourage you to, as well, by attending our Wooster Square, Edgewood Park, and Q House market locations. Thank you for your understanding.
